The ground rules for using ForceKIT.

ForceKIT is a free, independent Chrome extension for Salesforce admins and developers. These terms cover what you can expect from it, and what's expected of you. They're meant to be read, not just scrolled past — but if you only read one section, make it "No warranty" below.

Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using ForceKIT, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree with them, please uninstall the extension and don't use it. If you're using ForceKIT on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to accept these terms for that organization.

The service

ForceKIT is a Chrome extension that adds productivity tools on top of Salesforce: a SOQL console, inline API names, a Profile/Permission Set comparator, cache refresh, dark mode, Lightning/Classic switching, saved-session management, and optional sync across your own devices. It runs entirely inside your browser and has no server of its own — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what's stored and where.

ForceKIT is provided free of charge. There is no paid tier, subscription, or in-app purchase at this time. Features may be added, changed, or removed in future versions, at any time and without notice.

License to use ForceKIT

You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ForceKIT for its intended purpose. You may not: reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the extension for commercial purposes; remove or obscure any attribution; or use ForceKIT to build a competing product without permission.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for the accuracy and consequences of any query, edit, or metadata action you perform through ForceKIT against your Salesforce org — including in production.
You're responsible for securing your own device and, if you choose not to set a master password, for the fact that saved credentials will remain unencrypted locally, as ForceKIT tells you at the time.
You're responsible for complying with your own organization's policies and Salesforce's own terms of service when using any Salesforce API through ForceKIT.
You won't use ForceKIT to attempt unauthorized access to any Salesforce org, or to interfere with the normal operation of Salesforce's services.

Third-party services

ForceKIT connects directly to Salesforce's own REST, Tooling, and Metadata APIs, and, if you opt in, to Google's Chrome Sync or your own Google Drive (via the limited drive.appdata scope, for sync data only). Your use of those services is governed by Salesforce's and Google's own terms, respectively — ForceKIT is not a party to those agreements and isn't responsible for how those services behave.

No warranty

ForceKIT is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ForceKIT does not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will not affect your Salesforce data in ways you didn't intend, especially for actions you explicitly trigger (like running a DML operation or deleting a record).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ForceKIT and its author will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) ForceKIT — including damages resulting from actions taken against your Salesforce org through the extension. You use ForceKIT, and any features that read, write, or delete Salesforce data, entirely at your own risk.

No affiliation with Salesforce

ForceKIT is an independent, third-party project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with Salesforce, Inc. "Salesforce," "Lightning," and related marks are trademarks of Salesforce, Inc., used here only to describe compatibility.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as ForceKIT evolves. If they change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect it. Continuing to use ForceKIT after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Termination

You can stop using ForceKIT at any time by uninstalling it — this removes everything stored locally, as described in the Privacy Policy. Access may also be discontinued if the extension is removed from the Chrome Web Store or if development stops.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own country of residence.
